Senior Architect/Interior Designer

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Architect/Interior Design works closely with senior staff to develop design and deliverables for various projects. This designer position will assist in the preparation, updating and correction of drawings, presentations, graphics, design; CAD design; furniture, fixture and accessory specifications; furnishing, colour and material boards; FF&E sourcing; and general computer skills.

MAJOR RESPONSABILITIES

Assist and prepares Furnishing, colour & material board; assist with sourcing and product research.
Creating, developing and implementing project design, either independently or with the project team, depending on project size
Producing drawings, sketches and 3d models, CAD documentation for Furniture, Fixtures & Accessories specifications
Coordinate with outside vendors, suppliers and contractors
Assist with concept presentations and verbal presentations (English language) as necessary

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of ten years of professional experience in all phases of project work
Experience in designing mid-sized to large architectural projects, including urban design and resort hotels
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Indesign, Photoshop and freehand sketching skills
A proficient level of experience in interior design concepts such as, space planning, furniture, fixtures, and product research
The ability to assemble FF&E and finish boards with minimal supervision
Familiarity with general office procedures, such as, processing purchase orders, ordering supplies and general office equipment
Experience on site, ideally in the Middle East and Africa
Knowledge of typical international work stages
Must have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable in interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and internal staff.
Ability to travel internationally
