LightFeather is seeking a dynamic Senior Business Analyst to join our team and act as the bridge between our clients and development teams. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to gather and translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories while ensuring our applications meet client needs. This role requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
This is a Full Time, Remote Position.
Responsibilities:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the development team, providing in-depth knowledge and guidance on business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Independently gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements from diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Convert business objectives into precisely scoped user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria, driving effective communication with technical teams.
Lead discussions with stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize, and refine requirements, balancing competing needs to maximize project value.
Create detailed, professional-grade documentation, including process flow diagrams, role matrices, and other supporting materials to enable seamless project execution.
Perform comprehensive manual testing of user stories, verifying functionality and adherence to business requirements to deliver high-quality solutions.
Organize and facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, while conducting ad hoc meetings as needed to maintain project momentum.
Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering an Agile mindset to achieve shared objectives in a dynamic environment.
Develop proficiency in Gherkin syntax to craft effective acceptance criteria or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and apply this skill for consistent user story documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
US Citizenship.
Active clearance at the Public Trust level or above. DHS, ICE, or DOD is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related.
Minimum of 6 years experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Proven expertise in independently gathering and eliciting detailed requirements from stakeholders.
Extensive experience in converting business requirements into well-defined, actionable user stories with clear scope.
Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and effectively prioritize requirements.
Proficient in developing comprehensive documentation, including process flows, role matrices, and other supporting materials.
Hands-on experience conducting manual testing to validate user stories and ensure alignment with defined requirements.
Adept at facilitating Agile sprint ceremonies and conducting ad hoc meetings to maintain project progress and team alignment.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Preferred:
1+ years of experience with ServiceNow.
Familiarity with roadmapping and strategic planning tools.
