Descrizione Lavoro - Senior PV Engineer

Galileo is a fast -growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start -up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.

We are looking for our new Senior PV Engineer, who will be critical in ensuring the technical robustness and execution
efficiency of our Italian and European solar PV power plants from development through to
the start of commercial operations. They’ll be dedicated to the effective
delivery of engineering workstreams required to realize PV projects, both
stand -alone and hybrid projects (PV + BESS). This person will be based in Milan (with
the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Technical Director.

What you’ll
do:

  • Provide the engineering expertise needed to
    guide and support development, construction, operations, and
    financing/divestment of solar PV projects across various European countries
    (primarily in Italy).

  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility
    studies, preliminary layout design and optimization, and risk analyses
    throughout the project lifecycle to support project development and execution;
    monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and developing
    mitigation strategies.

  • Focus on post -permitting activities:
    • provide technical input during
      pre -construction planning and risk assessment; support or lead technical site
      assessments and constructability reviews;

    • provide technical support to procurement,
      including specifications and scope of work documents for EPC tender processes,
      bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and equipment recommendations and
      selection;

    • review and validate executive engineering
      design to ensure alignment with project goals, grid codes, and permitting
      conditions; conduct gap analyses between permitting documentation and
      construction -level design;

    • collaborate with project director and
      construction team to support the development of detailed construction plans and
      schedules;

    • contribute to the development of
      quality -control procedures and acceptance criteria for PV components and system
      installation;

    • in collaboration with the HSE manager,
      ensure the application of HSE best -practice during design and construction
      stages;

    • if necessary, support stakeholder
      communications, including utilities, grid operators, and regulatory bodies.

  • Given that one
    of the company's objectives is to develop hybrid projects, being able to apply
    the above also to BESS projects would be highly valued.
