Senior Software Engineer (Italy)

As a Senior Software Engineer at mama health, your mission is to drive the innovation and development of our web applications, creating solutions that enhance user engagement and streamline patient care processes. You will utilize your expertise in front-end and back-end technologies to build scalable, efficient, and secure software.Job Description:
You will be in charge of the development and maintenance of our web applications. You will work closely with the CTO to deliver high-quality software that enhances user engagement and streamlines patient care processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain back-end components of our web applications using TypeScript and Python
• Manage our infrastructure and service with state of the art IaC using the AWS CDK
• Collaborate with product managers and other developers to understand requirements and design comprehensive solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code with a focus on performance and security.
• Implement responsive UIs that provide users with an intuitive interface.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of application quality and development practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends to incorporate into development practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development and some experience with DevOps & IaC
• Full fluency in English is required as both interviews and work will be conducted in English.
• Must live and work in Italy; all applications from people outside of Italy will be rejected.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript & Python
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with REST
• Ability to work autonomously on complex projects with minimal guidance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Nice to have: experience with Machine Learning Frameworks like Scikit-Learn and PyTorch. This would be beneficial in integrating machine learning models into your data pipelines and applications.
• Nice to have: Understanding of ML/AI technologies, which would be beneficial in driving further innovation within our tech-driven health solutions.
