Senior Testing Technician

Eaton's Mobility Group is looking for a Senior Testing Technician who will be based in our HQ in Turin and will be responsible on performance of testing activities in the valvetrain testing department.

What you’ll do:

• Disassemble / modify / assemble IC engines and/or CH

• Instrument VT components and perform calibration of all the electronic instrumentation used in testing activities

• Setup and Acquire VT dynamics according to internal working instructions

• Setup and run test equipment (Test Cells, Test benches, …)

• Develops, maintains, and continuously improves the internal process steps in order to meet quality standards, improve 

• technical knowledge and meet customer request, solves problems.

• Ensure that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of safety are rigidly adhered to during all internal testing activities

• Ensure that policies and procedures regarding all aspects of quality and improvement are rigidly adhered to during all  internal testing activities

• Propose technical solutions to improve the testing activities in order to reduce cost, analyze the existing equipment  capability and propose upgrade or modification to reduce timing and increase flexibility

• Check and analyse testing equipment performance in order to improve internal capabilities

• Perform the start-up of new testing equipment in collaboration with colleagues and plan the introduction of new equipment  according to profit plan

• Determine and provide the necessary level of technical documentation after performance of each testing activity

Qualifications:

• Technical High School Diploma (Mechanical background)

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of Experience in IC engines maintenance

• Available to travel up to 15% of the time

Skills:

• Technical knowledge and experience on valve train components - Quality/metrology experience is preferred

• Open minded and willing to adapt own life to a different environment and culture

• Change agent / change accelerator (time based management)

• Demonstrable ability in problem solving approach

• Performance results driven (fact based and data driven)

• Language skills: English (Read - Write & Speak) – B1
