We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our Technical Service Team. The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in his/her service area in the country.
Please note: a valid driver’s license is required. The role will cover customer service activities in the Lazio region, with possible travel also within the Abruzzo region.
1.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
2.Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager. Uses the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle his daily activity.
3.Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
4.Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
5.Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
6.Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, combined with a well-organized and structured approach to maintenance activities.
Good level of computer literacy and solid technical background, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
Sufficient technical English proficiency to understand manuals, technical documentation, and interact with international suppliers.
Completion of a recognized technical training program in mechanical, electrical, or electronic fields.
