JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SRE AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced “SRE Automation Engineer” to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. The Candidate will be responsible for automating operational tasks, building custom dashboards, develop workflows for system integration and orchestration to achieve end-to-end automation.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Scripting, developing Automation framework, Infrastructure-as-code, API integration, Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.

Key responsibilities

Expected to work closely with SRE Leads to gather the requirements and develop automation solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python and Bash scripting, IaC, GitOps practices, Cloud Infrastructure and Monitoring systems.

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field.

Years of Experience: 6-12 years in developing Infra/Cloud Automation solutions

Technical Skills

1. Python, Bash, Powershell

2. REST API Programming, System and Tools integration

3. Ansible and Terraform (knowledge or hands-on experience)

4. Jenkins, GitOps, CI/CD Pipeline, Workflow creation

5. Knowledge in Linux system administration, monitoring and networking

6. Familiarity with Source code management tool - Git/Gitlab and DevOps practices

7. Public Cloud (AWS/GCP) knowledge will be an added advantage
