As Amdocs MS360 Software Architect you will provide platform architecture solutions during the software development lifecycle to ensure our CI/CD pipeline is robust, scalable, and aligned with the needs of our customers, development and operations teams. 

Amdocs MS360 (https://www.amdocs.com/products-services/microservices-management-platform) is a full end-to-end, carrier-grade microservices cloud development platform that accelerates cloud technology and DevOps adoption at scale. It's available with any Amdocs component in Amdocs’ suite and supports deployment in all cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.).  

What will your job look like?

Support and lead architectural decisions and tasks within MS360 domains focusing on: 

• Platform engineering practices 
• CI/CD including release pipelines 
• GitOps 
• Configuration management 
• Upgrade strategies 
• Embedding GenAI tools as part of CI/CD 

Make decisions requiring extensive analysis and interpretation, including a number of intangible factors.  

Provides technical expertise in terms of software usage, and functional and non-functional aspects. 

Key role of mentorship within the engineering team as well as working to improve and enforce development processes, best practices, and standards. 

Work with software engineers and architects to define and refine the product structure to align with the business, development, deployment, and maintenance needs. 

Work with customers and product line management to identify, refine, and translate customer needs into concrete technical requirements. 

Lead projects, review technical designs, and provide guidance to software engineers on technical and architectural design decisions. 

Research, evaluate, and prototype new methodologies, technologies, and products, you will propose and follow through with improvements in processes and tools. 

Acquire an in depth understanding of the customer context while making technical decisions and choices. 

All you need is...

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent - information technology, management information systems, software engineering and networking. 

At least 10 years of experience in software engineering and proven experience in software design. 

Experienced in designing applications or products taking into account various technical considerations. 

Experience in presenting ideas, influencing, and build consensus in a group setting. 

Technical domain expertise. 

Experience with platform and infrastructure development and design for cloud native application. 

Experience with Cloud native applications/MS design/development and deployment including strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, tools and best practices. 

• K8s – hands-on and design experience - mandatory 
• On Prem & Cloud platforms, i.e., OCP, MS Azure & AWS 
• Polyglot knowledge – Go, Java, Python, etc. 
• CNCF tools: e.g. Argo, Istio, Crossplane, etc. 
• Gitops 

Advantage – Experience with Amdocs MS360.
