Location: We are recruiting staff accountants for entry level positions at multiple office locations right now! We are recruiting for team members in our audit department in our Utica and Rome offices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work in team environment to assist in providing quality service on auditing and accounting engagements.
• Prepare clear and concise working papers.
• Assume responsibility for accurate and timely completion of work within budget.
• Work on projects as needed with strong attention to detail.
• Reviewing and testing internal control systems based on risk assessment.
• Performing analytical procedures and other auditing tasks with strong problem-solving skills.
• Conducting research using internet-based tools with ability to communicate and document the results orally and/or written in a clear and concise manner.
• Display a basic understanding of professional standards, GAAS and GAAP.
• Ability for occasional out of town travel and same day travel at clients’ offices is required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours or working toward the 150 hours for CPA eligibility in New York State.
• CPA (or actively preparing for the CPA examination).
• 0 – 2 years’ experience. New or upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, be organized, dependable, prioritize and follow Firm policies/procedures.
• Ability to work directly with clients and have a commitment to exceptional client service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with various software programs, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license required for possible travel at clients’ offices using a personal vehicle.

Salary $50,000 to $60,000 based on experience.
