Belmond is seeking a Storeroom Attendant (seasonal) for Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the legendary train that transports guests to the Golden Age on captivating journeys across Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to efficiency and accuracy in logistics.

Based in Marghera (Venice), the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product management, directly contributing to our operational excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for organization? Are you proficient in inventory management and eager to contribute to a dynamic environment?

As a Storeroom Attendant, you will:

• Goods Management (warehouse/train): Receive, inspect, unload, store, organize, and track incoming and outgoing goods. Ensure accuracy in quality, quantity, and documentation. 
• Inventory Control: assist the Storeroom Supervisor in Inventory Control 
• Order Fulfillment: Prepare, pack, and coordinate shipments, including necessary documentation and carrier liaison. 
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate handling tools and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks). 
• Warehouse Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, adhere to safety regulations, and report maintenance issues. 
• Documentation & Communication: Complete and maintain operational records, communicate effectively with management and colleagues, and assist with various warehouse activities as needed 

• Health & Safety: Ensure the security of the company's premises by tracking and authorizing all entries and exits. 
• Maintained accurate logbooks and tracking records for employees, contractors, and external consultants 
• Ensured all external consultants complied with site safety regulations prior to access 
• Conducted safety briefings and inductions for visitors and onsite teams 
• Checked and verified personal protective equipment (PPE) before granting site access 
• Reported unsafe conditions and supported corrective actions 

• Good command of the Italian language (spoken and written) and basic English
• Flexibility to work shifts as operational needs require.
• Proven experience in a storeroom, warehouse, or logistics role.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations
