The Data Centre SME – Power serves as EdgeConneX’s subject matter expert and technical authority for electrical power systems across the local data centre portfolio. This role provides strategic and operational leadership in the application of engineering principles, ensuring the reliability, resilience, and performance of critical electrical infrastructure Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the SME is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving power-related standards, policies, procedures, and best practices. The role leverages advanced technical expertise and extensive industry experience to evaluate complex operational issues, mitigate risk, support incident investigations, and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and reliability. The SME collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners, influencing decision-making across multiple disciplines. Acting as a trusted advisor to site operations and leadership teams, the role provides technical guidance, supports the achievement of operational objectives, and ensures alignment with corporate standards and industry best practices. Success in this position requires sound independent judgement, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to make informed decisions on complex technical matters. Performance is measured against departmental goals, operational outcomes, and the successful delivery of technical and business objectives.
This role requires onsite training/onboarding in one or multiple other EdgeConneX locations. Expected travel in the first 6 months is significant.

The starting salary will be no less than €43,601.88 gross per year and the final offer will be fine tuned based on gender neutral criteria of candidates, including but not limited to competencies, responsibilities, effort and work conditions.
