IMRG (Interactive Media in Retail Group) is the UKs eCommerce association a membership community of online retailers and global digital tech companies which closely collaborates with eCommerce Expo and Technology for Marketing. We sit at the heart of this dynamic and rapidly growing industry and our role is to help retailers better understand and improve their online and digital performance. We do this through a busy programme of data analysis insight and events. IMRG is universally recognised as the leading authority in this space.

A new business sales vacancy exists within the team the role being focussed on growing our retail membership. Retailers and brands are attracted to the market data and insight IMRG offers and attending high quality events in the IMRG programme aswell as the VIP programme at Ecommerce Expo. You would be the primary sales contact for retailers and brands looking to sign up to IMRG membership. This handson role offers great autonomy variety and a real opportunity to make an impact.

THE ROLE:

• Recruit retailers to join the IMRG Index the largest tracking study of online performance in the UK. No cost () to the retailer they agree to share their sales data. Target currently 10 / month for Data Associate membership tier

• Sell new Retail Master paid memberships by both upselling existing IMRG Data Associate members and generating new leads. Target currently 10k/month

• Secure attendance from major name retailers and brands to attend IMRG events

• Work closely with retail data team to onboard new retailers and ensure they are set up to share their data

• Actively develop new leads through a combination of social media email phone activity and event attendance and networking

• Work closely with the marketing and retail team to build the sales and marketing activity plan

• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline build the target database and monitor all account activity on Salesforce

ABOUT YOU:

• A genuine enthusiasm and ambition to build a career in sales in the fastgrowing ecommerce sector

• Persuasive by character with strong and creative writing and communication skills

• Effective using social media primarily LinkedIn and email for lead generation

• Commercial acumen an entrepreneurial approach and enthusiasm for finding new commercial opportunities

• Confident and persuasive communication on the phone and facetoface

• Well organised. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce ideally) reporting and planning

• A genuine interest in the subject; ecommerce data analysis and insight

• Excellent people skills the confidence to make introductions and hold conversations
