The Segment Manager Automotive is responsible for ensuring profitable growth in the identified automotive segment and promoting the full range of products offered by Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. The role is crucial to serving the segment by providing both onfield and offfield solutions and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Define and implement a strategic sales approach for automotive OEMs tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers .
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the Indian automotive market and processes including quality standards and relevant documentation.
- Lead and develop a highperformance team focused on generating new business .
- Oversee endtoend sales and the development of new business/products within the segment.
- Conduct customer analysis and understand market dynamics .
- Manage turnover and margin of the customers.
- Interact with internal stakeholders such as SCM Finance and Application Engineerin g to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop the annual budget for turnover and margin within the segment.
- Prepare reports as required by management.
- Initially verify contracts and legal documents of customers supporting the legal department through to contract signing in line with company policies.
- Ensure effective collection practices and maintain zero overdues.
- Achieve Year on Year market share growth.
- 3. Education and Experience
- Education: Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 10 to 12 years of work experience in Automotive & OEM Sales.
- Strong experience with Automotive Segment customers.
- Familiarity with CRM software.
- Beneficial strong technical aptitude.
- Indepth knowledge of business sales and marketing practices.
- Preferred knowledge in Seals Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
- Preferred knowledge of Rubber/Plastic products.
- Excellent customer focus and a deep understanding of total customer satisfaction.
- Capability to measure and analyze performance.
- Ability to lead and motivate both team members and customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong people and relationshipbuilding skills.
