You will integrate the AMD Vivado JESD204C IP with custom RTL to generate and capture data traffic, verify the design through simulation, and validate functionality on AMD evaluation boards with lab instrumentation.\n\nPosition overview\n\nThe ideal candidate for this role would share our passion for developing and experimenting with FPGA-based systems in a highly dynamic, hands-on environment.\n\nOur SPG (Storage Product Group) tools development team designs and validates innovative hardware platforms to support next-generation storage and memory solutions. Our work spans from early prototyping to lab validation using advanced FPGA technologies.\n\nWe are looking for highly motivated and curious candidates to work on an FPGA-based prototype focused on high-speed serial communication.\n\nDuring the internship, the student will work on FPGA-based embedded systems. \nIn particular, the candidate will analyze and implement a solution to enable communication between two FPGAs using the JESD204C high-speed serial protocol.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Study the JESD204C protocol and the AMD-provided IP\n * Design and implement an FPGA system integrating JESD204C and custom RTL logic\n * Develop data generation (TX) and capture/verification (RX) logic with a defined packet format\n * Simulate, synthesize, and deploy the design on AMD development boards\n * Develop simple firmware and perform on-board testing using lab instrumentation\n\n\n\nMinimum qualifications\n\n * Bachelor or Master\u2019s degree in electronic engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent is required\n * Basic experience in VHDL and/or Verilog\n * Basic knowledge of FPGA-based embedded systems\n * Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications\n\n * Familiarity with FPGA SoC platforms (e.g., Zynq, Versal)\n * Basic understanding of high-speed serial interfaces\n * Experience with C programming for embedded systems\n * Good English knowledge (spoken and written)\n * Action-oriented and organized\n\n\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\n\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
