Trainee Lawyer/Lawyer, Litigation & Regulatory

We are currently recruiting a talented Trainee Lawyer or an experienced Lawyer to join our Litigation team in Milan. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in international financial sanctions and export control and, as a strong asset, a background in civil and commercial disputes.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Advising clients on international financial sanctions and export control matters


• Supporting clients, including leading banks and private corporations, in their day-to-day compliance with EU and OFAC sanctions programs


• Assisting with legal research and analysis on sanctions and regulatory developments


• Supporting the assessment of legal and compliance risks


• Drafting legal documents, including memoranda and client communications


• Assisting the team in commercial and civil litigation matters


• Supporting clients in disputes and pre-contentious matters


• Working closely with senior professionals on complex domestic and cross-border matters


• Keeping track of legal and regulatory developments relevant to clients’ activities

About you

• Italian qualified lawyer with great academic results


• We do not set upper or lower limits of PQE for any of our vacancies. However, we believe that candidates who have between 1 and 2 years’ PQE are likely to have the right level of legal knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role


• We are also interested in evaluating a brilliant and experienced trainee lawyer who will preferably expect to sit for the first session of Italian Bar Exam in 2027


• The candidate should have previous experience in international financial sanctions and export control, and a proven background of commercial law and dispute resolution will be considered a plus


• Excellent communication and drafting skills in Italian and English
