We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our Retail & Industrial Group. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the retail and industrial businesses, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring the successful achievement of divisional targets, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leadership in similar areas.
Responsibilities
- Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the Retail & Industrial Group in alignment with overall company objectives. Identify new opportunities for growth and expansion in the retail and industrial markets.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including General Managers for each business. Provide guidance, support, and resources to ensure the team's success and professional development.
- Client & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Understand their needs and expectations, and work collaboratively to deliver solutions that meet or exceed their requirements.
- Management: Manage business unit budgets, expenses, and financial performance to maximize profitability and return on investment. Identify operational excellence opportunities and implement effective financial controls.
- Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the retail and industrial sectors. Use market insights to inform decision-making and identify new business opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Al Mulla Group rules and policies as well as relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing the respective businesses. Stay informed about changes in regulations and ensure that all business units remain in compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. MBA or similar graduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a reputable business, ideally in a similar or complimentary field
- Proven track record of successful management and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
