Job Description - Legal Assistant

  • Document Drafting: Assisting in the preparation, review, and drafting of legal documents such as contracts, agreements, memoranda, and correspondence.
  • Documentation Management: Organizing and maintaining legal files, databases, and documentation systems to ensure efficient retrieval and storage of legal information.
  • Compliance Support: Assisting in monitoring legal and regulatory compliance requirements and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contract Management: Assisting in the review and management of contracts, including tracking key dates, maintaining contract templates, and facilitating contract execution processes.
  • Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the legal department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing meeting minutes, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communication and Correspondence: Assisting in the preparation of legal reports, presentations, and other communication materials as required.
  • Legal Updates: Keeping abreast of legal developments, changes in legislation, and industry practices relevant to the organization's operations, and sharing updates with the legal team.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration , Management or a related field is a MUST.
  • 3 - 5 years of Experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, particularly in a corporate/legal department setting.
  • Good understanding of legal principles, contract law, and relevant regulations. Knowledge of Kuwaiti laws and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage legal documentation and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.
  • Owns a Car and Have a Driving License is a Must.
