Supply chain and procurement manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team in the food and beverage industry. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management within the context of the food and beverage sector. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable agreements. Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Streamline supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and quality assurance, to improve overall supply chain performance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on operations.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and safety standards throughout the supply chain.
• Cost Management: Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost optimization. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure procurement and supply chain performance. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and supply chain software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
