Appliance Technician

Job Description

• Responsible for the installation, service and repair of stoves, refrigerators, hood and duct systems, dishwashing machines, and other electrical household or commercial appliances, using hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications in accordance with the Performance Work Statement
  
• Shall conduct routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for all freezer, storage refrigeration units and DFAC equipment in accordance with the PWS. 
  
• Shall inspect, clean and maintain the hood and duct system in accordance with NFPA Standard 96.
  
• Shall document repair actions taken and note damage other than normal wear and tear.
  
• Shall remove equipment being replaced from a facility and prepare it for disposition. 
  
• Shall load removed equipment onto pallet and fasten with straps. 
  
• Shall be courteous to customers and able to identify and verbally communicate all items in English.
  
• Shall comply with health, safety, and fire regulations regarding food preparation, handling and serving, food shipment and delivery and building maintenance.
  
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and grounds.
  
• Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
  
• Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
  
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent
  
• Minimum 03 years’ experience as a Appliances Technician
  
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic, or equivalent
  
• Ability to perform Maintenance and repairs of appliances such as Freezer/Refrigeration units, stove, hood and duct systems, dishwashing machines, and other electrical household or commercial appliances/kitchen equipments
  
• Able to use hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications
  
• Good Communication Skills, must speak English
