Job Description



The role would be responsible for overseeing the business and financial operations data of the organization and shares responsibility for the organization's economic and financial performance. Furthermore, oversees the implementation of new policies and procedures within the organization and being a pro-active business partner who supports the relevant stakeholders in reaching their objectives. It will require to combine knowledge in analytics, statistics with business understanding to create valuable insights and reports. 

  • Analyze the growth of IKEA retail and contribute to steer the business towards sustained long-term growth and profitability. 
  • One of the main responsibilities as a Business Analyst is to monitor, analyze and follow up business performance (both cyclic based and ad-hoc) to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Perform exploratory and predictive analysis both individually and in a team by collaborating with other analysts, Business intelligence team and other store and service office teams and related roles. 
  • Provide accurate, relevant and user-friendly business information for effective decision-making. 
  • Co-develop BI and analytical tools together with relevant functions. 
  • Present and share in a way that is understandable, inspiring and actionable and share insights and provide modelling and analytical support to facilitate data-driven and fact-based decision making, with a forward-looking focus. 
  • Be an active partner and contribute to business development initiatives. 
  • Develop and execute regular reports to update relevant stakeholders with latest business performance. 
  • Work with teams in markets and accounting department to complete monthly closing and prepare its financial / business reports.
  • To coordinate with different departments like CMI (consumer market intelligence) and collect necessary reports and relevant information on regular basis to facilitate budgeting and benchmarking on an holistic manner. 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering/science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline. Basic information of accounting will be an added advantage 
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, etc.) 
  • Strong experience of working in Retail or FMCG with high volume of operations 
  • Experience in working with a diverse team with local and remore/online prescence 
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Navision, SAP, other systems), 1C and M.e.doc 
  • Ability to read and communicate in English 
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication (both verbal and written)
