Job Description - Medical Representative

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To maximise sales and market share of assigned products in the designated area by conducting sales promotions in line with Company strategy, rules and local regulations.

To achieve success it is critical that the Medical Representative:

• Promote pharmaceutical products

• Conduct regular visits of pharmacies to monitor product availability and movement

• Introduction of New products.

• Use sales techniques and operational tools in order to achieve sales objectives and constantly seek to improve selling skills and knowledge

KEY RESULTS:

• Supply quality medical information to the different healthcare professionals in compliance with professional ethics and company image, rules and regulations

• Identify customers and manage sales promotion of assigned products to the target doctors to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets in line with company strategy

• Develop weekly and monthly visit plans in compliance with local sales systems and procedures

• Maintain and update product and competition knowledge in order to create a good professional image and build good relationships with trade personnel

• Identifying and establishing new business.

• Details to achieve the success

• Update all the required information on doctor cards and list

• Implement ongoing targeting and profiling of customers in order to increase sales

• Communicate regularly with key opinion leaders, get market feedback

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, industry regulations, and an aptitude for staying updated on the latest advancements in healthcare technology and products will be advantageous in this role, allowing the Medical Sales Representative to provide informed solutions to healthcare providers and institutions.
  • The Medical Sales Representative role requires a results-oriented mindset, with a proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are a non-negotiable requirement for the Medical Sales Representative position, given the need to engage with healthcare professionals effectively.
  • Candidates should possess a track record of delivering results, particularly in terms of meeting or exceeding sales targets, to excel in the Medical Sales Representative position.
