Vendor Relation Officer

Job Description

The Vendor Relations Officer is responsible for managing and enhancing relationships with our vendors to ensure the timely and efficient supply of goods and services. It plays a key role in negotiating contracts, monitoring vendor performance, and implementing strategies to improve overall vendor relations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to optimize pricing, delivery, and quality.

Performance Monitoring

• Implement performance metrics to assess vendor performance.
• Conduct regular evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Issue Resolution

• Address and resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely and effective manner.
• Work closely with internal departments to address and prevent recurring vendor-related issues.

Strategic Planning

• Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation in the vendor management process.

Communication

• Facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Ensure that vendors are informed of any changes in requirements, policies, or procedures.
• Surveying market dynamics and rival maneuvers, presenting strategic standpoints to clients, supporting them in making well-informed decisions and preserving a competitive position in their specific domains.
