Job Description - Senior Human Resources Officer

A leading holding company is urgently seeking to hire a Senior Human Resources Officer to its team. Potential candidates with a valid 18 article visa and meeting the below Job description are invited to apply with your Resume and supporting Educational and Work-related documents.

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, payroll, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.
  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of all office policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that accurate job descriptions are in place by providing advice and assistance.
  • Ensures that employee data is entered into the Oracle system accurately.
  • Maintains employee files and records in an up to date and confidential manner.
  • Provides advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment.
  • Posts job requirements on social media or advertise on newspaper for vacant staffpositions, screens CVs, conducts interviews and assists in the selection process.
  • Conducts reference checks on required positions.
  • Administers employment contracts and employee related letters as per Management requirements.
  • Provides staff orientations & supervises employee visa transfers and renewals.
  • Monitors daily attendance and employee leaves.
  • Responsible for end-to-end payroll processes.
  • Recommends solutions on employee breech on policy and applies disciplinary actions as per the policy.
  • Provides advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations.
  • Identifies and coordinates on training and development opportunities by assisting in staff training sessions, workshops and activities.
  • Conducts exit interviews for employees leaving the company and monitors smooth visa transfers or cancellations and assists in the final settlement payment.
  • Handles Internal and External audit firm requirements.
  • Prepares employee based quarterly and yearly reports for the department.

  • Creativity and ability to develop solutions and identify alternatives relating to employee relationship management.
  • Overall satisfaction of the human resource services.
  • Achieving performance benchmarks.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skills

Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Business Administration or Human Resources. ➢ Additional certification in HR is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in handling all areas of Human Resources department.
  • Excellent expertise in handling Oracle HRMS.
  • Excellent expertise in the Kuwait Labor Law.
  • Kuwait experience is a must.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of human resource management best practices.
  • Knowledge of local regulations concerning human resource and business general affairs, in addition to compliance and reporting requirements.

Languages:

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic Arabic communication skills.

Managerial Skills:

  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Time management ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete work on timely basis and under tight deadlines.
