Job Description - Product Management Lead

The Product Management Lead is a strategic and dynamic role responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of the company's online product offerings. This role involves managing a team of product managers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the company's platform delivers an outstanding user experience while meeting business goals.


Key Responsibilities:




  1. Strategic Leadership
    - Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the e-commerce platform.
    - Align product initiatives with overall business goals and market opportunities.
    - Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to ensure the company remains competitive.


  1. Team Management:
    - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
    - Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
    - Ensure that the team is aligned with the product vision and working effectively to achieve objectives.


  1. Product Development:


- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Prioritize product features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business impact, customer feedback, and market research.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience.



  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:


- Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define product specifications, and establish timelines.
- Act as the main point of contact for all product-related inquiries and communications.



  1. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    - Utilize analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions and optimize the e-commerce experience.
    - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
    - Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to validate hypotheses and refine features.


  1. Market and User Research:
    - Conduct market research to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.
    - Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, ensuring that the product meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
    - Analyze market trends to identify potential areas for growth and product differentiation.


  1. Project Management:
    - Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines.
    - Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
    - Mitigate risks and resolve issues that may arise during the product development process.

Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the e-commerce industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing e-commerce products.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
