Responsibilities: Teaching general styles of music. Teaching classical piano, practical and theory. Teaching singing to students from beginner to advanced level. Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons. Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans. Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences. Preparing students for practicals and exams. Inspiring and motivating students to extend themselves to after-school music clubs. Building relationships and mentoring students. Explaining different styles and genres of music Conducting music theory and practical examinations Helping students tap on their potential Suggesting additions and improvements in the curriculum Coordinating with staff members in organizing extracurricular activities Maintaining and encouraging a fun and positive atmosphere in the music class Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in music. Experience in teaching piano classes License to teach as an academic (state requirement). Minimum of 3 years teaching experience. Strong interpersonal andmunication skills. Excellent knowledge about different music genres and instruments Strongmunication and interpersonal skills Good organizational and time management skills Demonstrating a passion for music and high patience levels Ability to assess students potential and skills Ability to lead a choir, orchestra, or a concert Ability to conduct extracurricular activities and musical performances About American Baccalaureate School: ABS is a private, non-profit school offering an American-based curriculum including a wide variety of advanced courses, and a college preparatory program, guiding students to be independent, intellectual global citizens.
