Take Your Hiring to the Next Level Purpose and Scope of the Job Plans and performs preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on plumbing systems. Maintains database on boiler, fire system, and backflow inspections in designated area of responsibility. Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards Responsible for the installation and maintenance of plumbing, piping and other equipment at all buildings owned and operated by the Hospital. Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs hot water heating system, boilers, septic systems, drains, sewage pump stations, water systems, sinks, piping, kitchen drains, various types of plumbing fixtures, along with other plumbing and mechanical machinery and utility systems; Carries out emergency, planned and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment of the hospital. Responds to emergency calls that are a result of mechanical/plumbing failure both during and after regular hours of work; Ensures that all work is done according to standard plumbing practices. Keeps appropriate records including complete equipment repair history, work orders, test reports, and other related data; Determines sufficient material stock. Informs the Supervisor for ordering of supplies and replacement parts. Co-operate with the supervisor, contractors, inspectors, suppliers, and other departments on maintenance work. Maintains clean and orderly conditions in all working areas. Ensures duties are performed in an economic and responsible manner while observing all safety practices and regulations; Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed. Provides or promotes people centered care. Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs. Performs any other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Competences and Skills Education: At least Higher Secondary School Certificate Experience: 3 to 5 years plumbing experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Licensure: Not Applicable Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English Languages Computer Proficiency: Not Applicable Performance Competencies: Plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair skills. Knowledge of steam, water, and natural gas distribution systems maintenance and repair. Ability to develop and implement planned maintenance programs. Ability to lead others in troubleshooting and emergency repairs. Ability to read, understands, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
