Architecture & Civil Engineer

The International University of Science & Technology in Kuwait (IUK) is a newly established private university in Kuwait, with a new Campus located in the heart of Kuwait near the Avenues Mall. Fully accredited by the Private Universities Council (PUC), the University offers a wide range of academic programs in Engineering, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences. In addition to the academic programs, the IUK has established the University Foundation Program (UFP) that offers English and Math foundation programs.

Position Summary:

The primary role of the Architecture & Civil Engineer is to control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design. 

Responsibilities: 

• Produce detailed drawings and make necessary corrections while updating all as-built drawings. 
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations. 
• Make on site visits to check on projects status and report on projects. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• • Minimum bachelors degree. 
  • Professional Certificates are an added value
  • Attention to details and due diligence.
  • Strong Oral & written Communication Skills 

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience a an architect and on project sites.

Technical Skills:

• Skilled at AutoCAD, SketchUp & Photoshop software
• Knowledgeable in material technology, building techniques, and building codes and regulations
• Producing 2D colored drawings and 3D illustrations for the architects that help explain design concepts and ideas to management
• Project management skills
  
• Excellent drawing skills
• Familiarity with design software
