Job Description:
- Assist the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence in setting sales goals and targets for the team.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to sales representatives to improve their performance.
- Monitor individual and team performance, and provide regular feedback to enhance results.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding new sales team members.
- Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Identify market trends and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Participate in sales meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in managing the sales pipeline, including lead generation, prospecting, and follow-up.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product, customer service) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales processes.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sales reports to the Director of Business Development and Market Intelligence and senior management.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients and accounts.
- Address customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist the sales team in resolving complex issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist in creating sales presentations, proposals, and other sales materials.
- Provide product knowledge and technical information to the sales team.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure sales collateral and messaging are accurate and aligned.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales performance against targets and objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and strategies.
- Propose and implement initiatives to enhance sales team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments.
- Share relevant insights with the sales team to inform their strategies and approaches.
- Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001).
- Supporting the execution of Health, Safety and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standard, company and country rules and legal regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role â Steel experience is a plus
