Food Development Manager

With more than 750 cafes, stores and restaurants the Alshaya Food division offers a range of roles for different hospitality backgrounds. Brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, P.F. Changs, Pizza Express and Shake Shack provide everything from quick service and casual up to fine dining. We launched 8 new brands across 2012 and 2013 and have more planned for 2014. To enhance and develop existing and future menu and product lines of Alshaya Food Division's various Brands and external customer base. To combine innovative and creative ideas and exceptional kitchen capability in developing products with commercial understanding of what will be profitable to the business and the customer/end consumer. Key responsibilities include: * Designing and developing new products and processes in accordance with Alshaya Food Division's demands * Optimizing production by analyzing processes and identifying process conditions. * Designing, installing and commissioning new production plant. * Undertaking small and intermediate-scale manufacturing and packaging activities. * Ensuring that operator, environment, process and product safety aspects are considered * Actively participate in strategic product and process planning by continuously scanning the external environment for new product and process technologies * Write recipes and procedures for new products or reformulate current products * Control/audit the Production Centers ensuring that the Production processes are followed. * Search /evaluate new ingredients in order to improve the cost and or quality of products * Manage multiple projects within established timelines

We are looking for someone with: 1. Knowledge of Food Production and/or Food Catering industries. 2. Minimum10 years relevant experience (must have bakery & pastry experience)3. Knowledge of Food Safety & Food Quality requirements in a central production facility 4. Planning & project management experience 5. Influencing and negotiation skills
