HSE Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager for a leading Drilling Fluids company based in Kuwait. The HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to across all operations. The ideal candidate will be a Kuwaiti national with a robust background in HSE management within the oil and gas sector, particularly in drilling fluids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, Implement, and Monitor HSE Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with local regulations and industry best practices.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement appropriate control measures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards.
• Training and Development: Organize and deliver HSE training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into HSE incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to senior management, including metrics on performance, incidents, and compliance.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in HSE performance through regular audits, inspections, and feedback loops.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure HSE compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Nationality: Must be a Kuwaiti national.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HSE management experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically within drilling fluids operations.
• Certifications: Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices within the oil and gas sector.
