Purpose and Scope:
The job holder is responsible to day-to-day process & control of the Credit Control functions ensuring compliance with appropriate approved credit conditions, bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements & guidelines. The job holder guides/ supervises the officers responsible for documentation, collateral, posting limits and CBK reporting as a final checker & approver.In addition to the safe custody and filling process, he /she supervises the pre-& post fact control functions to protect the Bank's assets, ensures that all credit approval conditions are in place during facilities tenor and maintains compliance with CBK regulations, and Bank policies and procedures.

- Lay down effective plan(s) to ensure efficient and compliant credit Control processes
Operations, Review and Reporting
Understanding
- Maintain updated knowledge of CBK rules, regulations, BB Credit Policy procedures and related matters of interest to the department
Fieldwork
- Work closely with business, technology, and compliance counterparts to understand business objectives, initiatives, and ensure alignment of Cyber Security compliance.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure policies are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.
- Identify gaps in compliance mandated controls and recommend remediation measures to address deficiencies to relevant teams.
- Conduct the compliance efficiency validation of technical controls related to cyber security & provide the recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance & maturity assessments to identify potential compliance risk. Develop and monitor strategies to mitigate compliance risks effectively while balancing business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization on cyber security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain the vulnerability assessment programme based on compliance and internal security mandate.
- Conduct the periodic vulnerability assessments to identify the vulnerabilities and efficiency of patch & vulnerability management process.
- Coordinate with internal & external audit teams to facilitate audits related to information and cyber security.
- Facilitate meetings between auditors and ICSD key stakeholders to discuss audit objectives, scope, and findings.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cyber security compliance, such as compliance with regulatory requirements, effectiveness of controls, and others.
- Establish baseline measurements and targets for KPIs, considering industry benchmarks and organizational goals; Monitor and analyse KPI data regularly to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct the privacy impact assessment and third-party security assessment to identify the risk associated with these processes.
Review Monitoring
- Review the documents checklist signed by the documents makers, in line with credit approval & conditions, credit policy, procedures and CBK guidelines prior to releasing of limits, and approve the same
- Review the security analyst study along with security documents and bank approval (memos/ DR’s) and approve the same prior to updating the system or taking any action regarding releasing or pledging any collateral
- Supervise portfolio managers in a timely manner and ensure that all collateral records, share values, portfolio, legal assignment of contracts, guarantee extensions, real estate valuations, substitution of collateral and renewals are in line with approval conditions & are updated in kernel system
- Perform to ad hoc any Tasks/Assignments that directly assigned to him/her by direct superiors.
- Oversee the control process of Place the original securities in the safe custody vault, and to release the same from the vault in coordination with legal dept, in addition to physical verification of the securities carried out once in a year
Reporting
- Review and approve CBK reports in line with CBK guidelines.
- Review all internal reports issued by the departments for applying control over the Business groups and in line with the credit risk guidelines / conditions and approval
People Development
- Participate in the selection and development of staff
- Evaluate performance and recommend developmental needs of the team
- Review recommendations of subordinate staff and provide guidance in resolving complex or sensitive problems
- Maintain and promote positive work culture and responsible for improving employee engagement level of the team
Job Specifications:
Educational Qualification(s): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a bank or financial institution within a similar field
- Knowledge and experience of best practice in Credit Control
Language(s) known: English (Proficient) and Arabic (Proficient).
