Job Summary
Tiqmo is seeking to hire an experienced Operational Risk Manager to enhance our team's operations. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable professional well-versed in operational risk management. Responsibilities include crafting and applying comprehensive risk management strategies, frameworks, and policies that protect the organization from operational risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust operational risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with regulatory demands and industry standards.
- Conduct detailed evaluations to identify, assess, and rank operational risks throughout various business units and functions.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand operational processes, pinpoint potential risks, and develop targeted risk mitigation strategies.
- Track and analyze key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to measure the success of risk mitigation efforts and escalate issues promptly when necessary.
- Perform regular risk evaluations and audits to assess the sufficiency of existing controls and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain the company Risk Register and monitor the risk mitigation plans and efforts.
- Offer expert advice and support to departments on best practices in operational risk management, including crafting training programs and promoting risk awareness.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal audit, compliance, and other critical departments to synchronize risk management efforts and strategic recommendations.
- Keep updated with regulatory changes, new risks, and advancements in the field of operational risk management to integrate these insights into our risk framework and operations.
- Develop and deliver detailed reports and presentations on operational risk management activities to senior management and relevant committees.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven track record of 7-10 years of experience in operational risk management within the financial services industry or a related sector.
- In-depth knowledge of operational risk concepts, methodologies, and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with Basel Committee principles and the COSO framework.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify, assess, and quantify operational risks and their potential impacts.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing operational risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing risk management tools, systems, and software applications to facilitate efficient risk assessment and monitoring.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are highly desirable.
