Project Manager - RAC DC

The Regional Application Center Datacenter mandate is to bring together the competencies from pre-sales, tendering and execution of Schneider Electric’s technology, product, services as well as relevant 3rd party solutions in supporting Secure Power divisions to win & execute large datacenter projects.

Part of Global Customer Project, RAC DC MEA team takes care of Middle East and Africa's region from pre-sale to execution.

We are currently looking for a Project manager who will be responsible for datacenter projects in execution across the MEA region, ensuring Schneider Electric delivers best in class datacenter solutions to meet customer expectations whilst achieving safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals.

This position is accountable for managing medium to large scale Customer projects, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing of customer projects/programs. Under Execution Leader supervision this position confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. Manages complete job process from order preparation, thru manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support.

Key Responsibilities: - Using tools to prepare cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk, procurement, communication management plans.

- Monitor and control project progress performance throughout project lifecycle, obtain, verify deliverables, attend status meeting, provide performance and status reports, forecast project completion, schedule, budget, Configuration management, tracking project updates and modifications.

- Lead the closeout of the project to include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion through review of internal system information, contact with the customer, and coordination with support services such as field services, after-shipment support, and training functions.

- Validate project performance against target profitability.

- Assisting in project statement of work developing including technical & commercial terms, identify project scope, project constraints and customer expectations, major risks.

- Provide technical & commercial offers after understanding & interpreting customer specifications/drawings.

- Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual, technical, and commercial terms and conditions relative to the company standard.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Engineering.

- From 7 to 9 years’ experience in Project Management preferably in Datacenter projects.

- Highly energized and motivated.

- Working under pressure and with a drive for results.

- Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills.

- Strong datacenter knowledge including MV, LV, UPS, BMS, DCIM, Racks, Cooling, Fire System, Access Control, Genset, …

- Team player able to work in multi-cultural teams in complex environment and to put in place collaborative climate to leverage diversity.

- Ability to communicate effectively difficult and/or complex ideas by listening and giving proper information toward both external and internal stakeholders.

- Strong change order management skills, to define its structure and to ensure profitability in execution.

- Very Good understanding of finance.

- Fluent English speaker and writer (French & Arabic as a plus).

- As a plus:

- PMP certification.

- ATD certification.

- Prefab / E-House experience.
