1 Head Mechanic

Full time – on site - based in Munsbach (L-5365)

Roles and responsibilities

The Head Mechanic is responsible for the Wallenborn Workshop, maintaining all company and related entity owned vehicles and maintenance equipment for daily and business use, in a good, dependable operating condition.

Management of the workshop:

• Manage the workshop and ensure the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and powered machinery in the Wallenborn fleet, including mechanical, electrical and body work.
• Effectively and accurately prepare and file all vehicle records, including work orders, inventory and all other forms used in the Transportation Department.
• Provide preventive maintenance to all assigned vehicles and machinery.
• Lead the way in ordering parts and materials necessary for effective repair and maintenance work.
• Ensure that all appropriate safety measures are adhered to when working on equipment.
• Perform gas or electric welding as required.
• Employee planning, work and vacation plans.

Job requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Automotive Engineering or Mechatronics
• Further education and accreditation in the field
• Experience in workshop software operation
• Excellent communication skills
• Process driven, good organization skills
• Independent work
• Strong in English & German (written and verbal), additional languages are an asset (French, Luxembourgish)
• Clean driving licence B/C/E incl. code95
