PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Nido & Livensa Living continues to expand its European footprint, we are seeking a full-time Accountant to support our growing operations in Luxembourg. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant bookkeeping and accounting records for our Luxembourg entities. This includes ensuring full adherence to Luxembourg accounting standards and tax regulations, supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, and delivering clear, reliable financial information to management, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank/cash reconciliations.
Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules, ensuring the accuracy of entries and account balances.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including accruals and ad-hoc financial analyses, ensuring deadlines are met.
Prepare and file VAT and CIT returns and respond to tax and regulatory enquiries.
Ensure compliance with Luxembourg GAAP and tax regulations; assist in the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements.
Liaise with internal teams and external service providers, including tax advisors, auditors, and banks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience in Luxembourg or an international environment.
Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is considered an asset.
Solid understanding of Luxembourg VAT rules, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus) and MS Office (strong Excel skills essential).
Commercially minded and pragmatic, with strong business acumen and the ability to balance risk with operational goals.
Confident communicator, comfortable working with investors and senior stakeholders.
Fluent in English; Spanish, German or Italian language skills are strongly preferred.
