The Station Manager ensures that daily operations run smoothly, that flights and people are safe and that budgets are respected for the fuel on-boarding service and the management of the fuel depot at Luxembourg airport. The site has 36 operational employees and 3 managers/administrators. He/She reports to the Cluster Manager BeLuxFrance.
General tasks:
Manage and supervise the station's day-to-day operations, including monitoring stocks and forecasting fuel consumption, as well as maintaining and repairing station equipment (storage tanks, pumps, meters, filters, valves and other related infrastructure).
Be responsible for the recruitment, management, development and training of all staff, ensuring that adequate resources are available to ensure optimum performance of the operation.
Steering and monitoring the station's financial and operational results in conjunction with the CFO and Cluster Manager.
Drawing up and monitoring a CAPEX / OPEX budget.
Analysing station activity data and identifying areas for development.
Maintain a balance between budget and resources when planning teams.
Ensuring compliance with safety and security rules, regulations, rules and instructions governing the business.
Ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting quality/timeliness standards.
Leading and coordinating strategic and operational projects, and solving complex problems.
Ensuring that Group policies (HSSE, HR, Compliance) are applied.
Keeping abreast of industry trends, technologies and advances in fuel management.
Management tasks:
Take into account the requests of the teams and deal with them with partiality and benevolence.
Maintaining a calm social climate.
Manage, lead and mobilise resources with discernment.
Be at ease with Luxembourg employment law.
Additional tasks:
Represent Luxfuel at meetings with partners/customers.
Validate the continuous improvement of processes and operating procedures.
Manage supplier, sub-contractor and service provider contracts.
To take part in meetings of the Board of Directors.
Report any incidents or accidents to his/her superiors.
Participate in meetings/working groups between Group or airport entities.
In the event of emergencies, incidents or accidents: initiating and monitoring emergency plans.
Coordinate actions with airport authorities, emergency services and third parties, ensuring a rapid and effective response to control risks and minimise disruption.
Conduct post-incident analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The Station Manager's team consists of operational functions:
Master's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management or related field or significant experience in fuel management or similar role in the aviation industry. Technical knowledge of fuel storage systems, handling procedures, quality control and safety regulations is an asset.
Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to effectively lead a team, prioritise tasks and make informed decisions.
Ability to work in a standardized environment (IATA, JIG, ACI) related to fuel storage and handling.
Leadership and setting an example.
Stress management to apply emergency procedures in the event of an accident, incident or near miss.
A sense of priorities and urgency.
Comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
Comfortable with QHSSE (Petrochemical and/or Aviation).
Bilingual written and spoken English and French, German being an asset.
