Compliance Officer in Intra-Group Compliance Management Division

Position: Compliance Officer

Department: Legal &Compliance and Internal Control Department (LCD)

Reports to: Head of Intra-Group Compliance Management Division

Contract Type: Permanent

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Job purpose:

With the support of Head of the Division, the successful candidate will work within a team to provide the necessary oversight on the entities of the Bank of China (Europe) S.A. group, and to ensure Bank of China Group Compliance rules and regulations are implemented in the Bank and in the BOC Europe group.

Main Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Maintain an effective communication with Head Office of Bank of China Limited and liaise with the Compliance staff of Bank’s cross-border entities to ensure timely reporting to the Head Office as necessary
• Support and work with the Compliance officers of the Bank’s cross-border entities in relation to Compliance matters such as rectification of Compliance gaps and deficiencies identified.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and relevant procedures as necessary.
• Carry out required Compliance controls and checks.
• Carry out tasks as requested by the head of Division and head of LCD on matters relating to Compliance.

Candidate Profile:

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• University degree in relevant fields such as finance or law.
• Knowledge in major regulations impacting the Banking sector,
• At least 2 years’ experience in the relevant fields in finance industry and/or in a law/audit firm specializing in banking and finance law
• Fluent Chinese and English or French
