Arbeitsbeschreibung - HR Senior Officer - Compensation & Benefits

HI Partners is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Senior Officer – Compensation & Benefits to join a reputable firm in Luxembourg.

As an HR Senior Officer – Compensation & Benefits, you will be responsible for managing and implementing compensation and benefits programs that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

In this role, you will work closely with the HR Department at the group level and other key stakeholders to design and administer competitive compensation structures, including salary benchmarking, bonus plans, and incentive programs. You will also oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation policies.

We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in compensation and benefits, preferably with experience in an international company. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of the regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input payroll data for all European office jurisdictions (including Luxembourg, UK, Ireland, and Jersey) and carry out the initial review of reports.
  • Collect all payroll-related documents and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Calculate holiday, salary, sickness, and any other payroll adjustments.
  • Assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager in coordinating the monthly payroll schedule according to relevant deadlines and outsourcing timelines for each jurisdiction.
  • Effectively address and resolve payroll inquiries from employees, management, and outsourced payroll providers in a proficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pertinent regulations and legislation, and assess the implications of any modifications, taking appropriate action to implement necessary changes and escalating internally as needed.
  • Generate on-demand payroll reports as requested and assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager in providing the data required for board reports.
  • Respond to and resolve payroll audit inquiries with the assistance of the Compensation and Benefits Manager.
  • Evaluate existing benefits in comparison to industry standards and make recommendations for adjustments to ensure competitiveness in terms of Employee Value Proposition.
  • Efficiently manage all benefit-related documentation for employees in all jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile benefit platform data with payroll information, systems, and invoices.
  • Timely address and resolve employee benefit queries.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation and Benefits Manager to discuss and negotiate benefit renewals with third-party providers, ensuring the provision of optimal coverage at the best possible cost.
  • Provide assistance to the Manager and HRBPs in the annual salary review and annual bonus process.
  • Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources, including surveys and agencies, to accurately establish salary benchmarks and salary bandings.
  • Maintain precise salary and reward records for both scheduled and ad hoc changes.
  • Ensure that data is consistently kept up to date and stored accurately in compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for utilizing the HR system to enhance the HR service provided to the business.
  • Validate the accuracy of information and/or reports generated by the HR system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in compensation and benefits, preferably in an international company
  • Desirable: CIPD – Level 5 (or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, salary benchmarking, and benefit program administration
  • Experience in payroll and benefit administration
  • Experience working in a financial services organization
  • A good working knowledge of Luxembourg Employment Law and HR best practices
  • Desirable: A good working knowledge of employment law, payroll, or benefits in other European locations
  • A good understanding of current HR issues
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
