You …

• have a University degree in Information Technology (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) with a focus on Software Engineering;


• have a 2-4 years’ professional experience as a Software Engineer / IT Developer;


• have gained experience with relational databases, preferably Progress knowledge;


• have knowledge and experience in at least one modern programming language / development environment (e.g. C#, C++, Java, VB, preferably 4GL systems);


• have experience in the Windows environment (Windows 10, Citrix), ideally also with Unix / Linux;


• are fluent in German and have excellent English language skills, French would be considered an important asset;


• have a positive attitude, are reliable, dynamic, detail-oriented, and well organised, with the ability to work effectively, rigorously, autonomously, and with a systematic-methodical working style.

• Planning, technical conception, development, and configuration as well as maintenance of IT applications, especially in the area of life policy insurance systems.


• Review and analysis of requirements and changes for IT applications.


• Development of software implementation plans and alignment with relevant stakeholders.


• Design and modelling of IT functions and respective IT application configuration.


• Programming and documentation of software solutions in the OpenEdge environment according to the requirements and integration into existing IT application structures.


• Design of test scenarios and test cases to ensure software quality. Set-up of test infrastructure and execution of tests. Documentation of test results and management of incidents/defects.


• IT application maintenance and optimization of existing systems in a client / server environment (Windows, Unix).


• Alignment with external providers.


• Support of IT projects or initiatives.
