We provide best solutions and opportunities for our employees with high engagement towards creative thinkers with outstanding financial expertise.\n\nOur lT department team is looking for a:\n\nSoftware Engineer \u2013 Data Platform \n\nLuxembourg, Luxembourg\n\nAs part of our Data Product team, you will ensure that data from source systems is consolidated, and you will work extensively with Databricks to build and operate our data products. You will ensure data is accurate and available for BI/Analytics consumption across John Deere Financial in Europe. Furthermore, you will work on making data easily discoverable and consumable (leveraging Databricks and the Enterprise Data Lake) while ensuring that these datasets conform to relevant compliance and data security policies and standards. \n\nYour major duties will be to: \n\n * Collaborate on data migration initiatives from on-premises to our cloud-hosted Enterprise Data Lake and automate processing capabilities.\n\n\n\n\n * Establish scalable, secure and automated data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data analysis and collection. \n\n\n\n\n * Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark) and cloud-based technologies.\n\n\n\n\n * Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.\n\n\n\n\n * Support your colleagues and team members, working collaboratively and sharing knowledge in pair-programming and coding review sessions.\n\n\n\n\nSkills we are looking for: \n\n * Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and technologies (Python, Apache Spark/PySpark, SQL DB, NoSQL DB, Data Lake concepts).\n\n\n\n\n * Experience with Databricks workflows, dashboards and Unity Catalog.\n\n\n\n\n * Experience with ETL, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing and working with large-scale datasets.\n\n\n\n\n * Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc. \n\n\n\n\n * Experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment using tools like Git, Jenkins.\n\n\n\n\n * Peer Reviews and Pair Programming, working in an agile team environment.\n\n\n\n\n * Fluency in English is essential (both spoken and written).\n\n\n\n\n * Master\u2019s degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.\n\n\n\n\nInterpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies: \n\n * Passionate, creative and have the desire to learn new complex technical areas in the financial sector.\n\n\n\n\n * Accountable, curious, and collaborative.\n\n\n\n\n * Maniacal about product quality and takes pride in your craft and documentation.\n\n\n\n\n * Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders and team members to provide information technology solutions.\n\n\n\n\n * Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.\n\n\n\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get: \n\n * Be part of a large multinational industry leader organization.\n\n\n\n * A multicultural inclusive environment.\n\n\n\n\n * Pension \u0026 life cover/income protection benefits.\n\n\n\n\n * Flexible working solutions \u0026 Teleworking to balance family and career.\n\n\n\n\n * Development and learning opportunities to support current needs and future aspirations.\n\n\n\n\nPlease attach an English version of your CV.\n\nWe look forward to your application!
