RESPONSIBILITIES:


Specific accountabilities and responsibilities include:



  • Draft, review and support the procurement, CAPEX, energy, logistics and services agreements.

  • Provide day-to-day legal support to the Purchasing Organisation and business/purchasing teams on procurement transactions and supplier negotiations.

  • Support contract negotiations.

  • Assist on strategic supply contracts involving significant commercial exposure and multi-jurisdictional legal issues.

  • Support the standardisation of legal frameworks, contractual policies, standard templates and legal processes.

  • Assist with the legal review of investment projects submitted to the Group’s preliminary investment committee.

  • Draft legal documents ranging from notifications to legal letters in the context of contracts and pre-litigation.

  • Assist with disputes, claims, litigation follow-up and settlement matters, in coordination with internal and external counsel.

  • Prepare legal memo, risk assessments and management presentations.

  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and yearly legal reports (external legal fees, litigation, legal budget).

  • Support the preparation and delivery of legal training and awareness sessions to business stakeholders.

  • Monitor relevant legislative and jurisprudential developments across Europe.

  • Contribute to digitalisation, compliance and process-improvement initiatives, including the integration of new AI tools.

  • Coordinate with local legal teams and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.


PROFILE DESCRIPTION


Competencies:



  • Initial professional experience in commercial law, contract law or procurement-related legal matters, ideally acquired in an international law firm or an international company.

  • Entry experience in negotiation, drafting and review of international commercial contracts.

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of international and commercial law.

  • Some experience in pre-litigation, litigation or arbitration is desirable.

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in an international environment.

  • Strong business acumen and a pragmatic, hands-on approach.


Education:



  • Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. / Master 1 & Master 2), with a focus on business, commercial or international law; equivalent qualifications in other European jurisdictions (including the UK or Switzerland) may be considered.

  • Bar admission or membership is desirable, but not a must.


Skills:



  • Proactive, committed and results-oriented, with quick reflexes and reactivity.

  • Rigorous and reliable, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with international stakeholders.

  • Strong service orientation and good communication and social skills in a multicultural business environment.

  • IT skills: Office package; openness to digitalisation and AI tools.


Languages:



  • English: advanced professional level, both verbal and written (required).

  • French: desired but not mandatory; additional European languages are an advantage.


Travel:


Occasional travel may be required within Europe to support negotiations, project reviews and business meetings.
