Operations Engineer - NetApp Backup and Storage Infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled Operations Engineer to manage and maintain our NetApp backup and storage infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NetApp technologies and Commvault, and a strong understanding of data management and protection strategies.

This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our storage systems, as well as implementing and optimizing backup solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain NetApp storage systems: Ensure the efficient operation of NetApp ONTAP, AFF, and FAS series storage systems.

• Implement and optimize backup solutions: Utilize NetApp SnapCenter, and Commvault for backup management and recovery.

• Monitor and troubleshoot storage infrastructure: Use NetApp Active IQ, and Commvault to monitor system health and performance.

• Data protection and security: Implement data protection strategies using NetApp SnapLock, BlueXP ransomware protection, and Commvault.

• Disaster recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans using SnapMirror replication, and Commvault.

• Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and performance metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience with NetApp storage systems and backup solutions.

• Strong understanding of data management, protection, and security principles.

• Proficiency in using NetApp management platforms such as ONTAP, SnapCenter, Active IQ, and Commvault.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or similar certification.

• Experience with cloud integration and hybrid cloud environments.

Familiarity with other storage technologies and backup solutions.
