What you’ll be doing

• Assessing KYC cases to ensure full compliance with the published KYC policy
• Having a comprehensive understanding of Fin Crime controls, including AML, Fraud, and Screening, and the ability to communicate remedial actions clearly to 1LoD teams.
• Demonstrating a problem-solving mindset focused on resolving complex situations outside of the norm, whilst upholding our regulatory requirements.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory developments, including FCA and data protection issues, and assisting in the continuous improvement of the.
• Conducting proactive monitoring activities in line with the compliance plan and assisting in identifying themes and supporting in the delivery of training to 1LoD and client facing teams.
• Supporting internal audit functions, addressing complaints, and collating information on demand to assist with their process or findings.
• Reviewing and analysing client documentation, providing support for FCA authorisation applications, and conducting quality control activities.
• Acting as the last line of accuracy assurance for client reports, conducting thorough quality reviews, and serving as a point of contact for escalations.

About you, you have

• Fluency in English is a must, and another European language is desirable
• Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years in a financial institution, with 2 years focused on KYC Quality Assurance or Quality Control. We are also interested in hearing from candidates with an audit background, who are interested in moving into a financial crime role
• Good knowledge of AML, KYC, Quality Assurance, and compliance issues in financial services.
• Experience in conducting KYC reviews, collaborating with various stakeholders, and a problem-solving mindset using various company policies.
• Empathetic and helpful attitude, strong attention to detail, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated, flexible team player with a self-learning and independent problem-solving approach.
• Proven record of meeting SLAs in support teams, and managing time for these alongside ad-hoc tasks
• Readiness to take ownership, flexibility, and positive attitude towards role changes and objectives.
• Clear communication, a high level of self-organisation, along with professionalism, integrity, and a willingness to question and improve processes.
