This role sits at the centre of business and technology, ensuring solutions are designed and implemented in a way that aligns with business needs, operational realities, and long-term strategic goals.
A key focus will be driving the quality and consistency of business analysis and functional design, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, structured, and ready for implementation.
Working closely with senior business stakeholders, product leadership, and technology teams, you’ll ensure strong alignment, remove delivery blockers, and support successful adoption across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
Drive business fit and solution quality Ensure solutions are aligned to real business needs, with clear, robust requirements and functional designs that support effective implementation and adoption.
Act as a bridge between business and technology Translate business priorities into clear direction for delivery teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
Lead analysis and design workstreams Oversee business analysts and data analysts, driving clarity, consistency, and quality across requirements, processes, and data definitions.
Shape solution design (in partnership) Work with senior stakeholders across business and technology to influence platform design, ensuring it is scalable, usable, and aligned to strategic goals.
Support data and operating model development Ensure data requirements and structures reflect business needs, and support the development of target operating models.
Drive adoption across the business Engage senior stakeholders and business teams to build understanding, readiness, and commitment to new ways of working.
Remove delivery roadblocks Identify and resolve cross-functional challenges that could impact delivery or adoption.
Skills & experience
Significant experience in large-scale transformation, platform implementation, or complex change programmes
Strong track record operating between business and technology teams
Experience leading business analysis and functional design in complex environments
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational alignment
Experience working with data-led platforms or enterprise data environments
Confident, credible communicator with strong executive presence
Personal attributes
Strategic but pragmatic, with a focus on delivery
Strong leadership and ability to bring clarity in complex environments
Comfortable operating at executive level across business and technology
