Spontaneous Applications - Mechanic Production Shops

Task Responsabilities

Part of Cargolux's main base maintenance are the Production Shops where mechanics from different fields focus on the maintenance and repair of specific aircraft systems and components. In the Production Shops, we offer opportunities in the following shops:

• Avionics shop: repairs of avionic and electrical components;


• Cargo Loading System (CLS) and Interior shop: Repair of aircraft cargo loading components and aircraft interior components,


• Composite and Paint shop: Repair of composite repairs and painting of components and parts of the aircraft;


• Hydraulics and pneumatics shop; Repair, overhaul and testing of hydraulic and pneumatic aircraft valves and actuators


• Non-destructive testing (NDT): Inspect aircraft and components for cracks using eddy current, ultrasonic and penetrant inspections


• Engine shop; Service jet engines in the shop and prepare engines for installation on the aircraft or shipment to overhaul facility


• Sheet metal shop; Repair or replace damaged aircraft structural parts and components


• Wheel and brake shop: Replace aircraft tyres and overhaul wheel rims and brakes.

Requirements for the Position

• At least a Technical Diploma (e.g., CATP, DAP) or equivalent level of education;


• Interest and first experience in one of the above-mentioned areas;


• Ability to work independently as well is a team;


• Willingness to show initiative and take responsibility;


• Fluency in written and spoken English;


• Good computer knowledge in MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word).

Working conditions

• A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.


• Day shift or rotating shift schedule (morning, afternoon), Monday-Friday (specifics depend on the position).


• The successful candidate will have to obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job issued by the Company doctor prior to the start of the employment.


• The positions qualify as safety-sensitive personnel as per EU Regulation 965/2012. The successful candidate will have to be tested for psychoactive substances prior to the start of the employment.
