The role focuses on category-level climate transition planning, supplier engagement, emissions reduction, and capability building within procurement, ensuring purchased goods and services align with Vodafone\u2019s 2030 reduction milestones and 2040 Net Zero ambition. \nThe role sits within Vodafone Procure \u0026 Connect (VP\u0026C) in Luxembourg and reports into Vodafone Group\u2019s Sustainable Business Team, which sets global sustainability strategy and partners with business units to drive delivery. This is a growing and high-impact area, offering the opportunity to work with sustainability and supply chain experts while engaging a wide range of stakeholders across markets and functions. The role requires a self-driven individual with strong communication and programme management skills, comfortable creating new ways of working. \n \n1\\. Category climate transition strategies\n\nSupport the development of category-specific climate transition plans aligned to Net Zero 2040. \nConduct baseline assessments to identify emissions hotspots, risks, opportunities, and KPIs. \nEmbed environmental criteria into category planning to support long-term decarbonisation.\n\n2\\. Procurement collaboration \u0026 decision-making support\n\nSupport the implementation of sustainable procurement processes, including environmental requirements and contract terms. \nPartner with category managers to embed carbon reduction targets, environmental KPIs, and climate-aligned supplier selection. \nProvide climate data, insights, and analysis to support responsible sourcing decisions. \nSupport ESG assessments within RFQs, guiding suppliers and integrating results into scoring models.\n\n3\\. Supplier engagement \u0026 performance management\n\nManage supplier performance against ESG contractual commitments and KPIs. \nDrive supplier alignment with Vodafone\u2019s environmental targets, reporting, and transition pathways. \nIssue and track supplier improvement plans, escalating risks where required. \nParticipate in supplier reviews to support credible decarbonisation and improved environmental performance.\n\n4\\. Capability building for procurement teams\n\nDeliver training, tools, and guidance to strengthen environmental capability across procurement. \nDevelop templates, guidance, and onboarding materials covering KPIs, carbon methodologies, and assessments. \nFacilitate workshops and learning sessions to embed sustainability into BAU procurement activities.\n\n5\\. Environmental data, reporting \u0026 governance\n\nSupport consolidation and validation of supplier climate data for category strategies, CSRD, and internal reporting. \nMaintain category-level environmental KPIs and provide progress updates to leadership. \nProvide accurate and timely supply chain environmental data to Group Finance.\n\n## Who you are\n\n\u2022 A bachelor\u2019s degree \n\u2022 Strong project management, analytical skills and comfort working with data. \n\u2022 Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance teams. \n\u2022 Proactive, collaborative, and detail oriented approach to problem solving and ability to work independently. \n\u2022 Foundational knowledge of procurement processes, category strategies and supplier engagement. \n\u2022 Passion for environmental sustainability, climate transition, Scope 3 emissions, and circularity.\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
