System Administrator (Windows and Linux)

We currently have a vacancy for a System Administrator fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks

• Administer client infrastructure, systems, and services (e.g., file/print services, RDS, hosted apps, client systems/software);
• Provide 2nd-level support and maintenance;
• Install and configure system components and server software, including patching;
• Operate and monitor infrastructure, systems, servers, and networks;
• Evaluate, validate, and deploy Digital Workplace and security solutions;
• Handle incident, change, request, and problem management (definition, analysis, resolution);
• Conduct preliminary diagnosis of hardware/software issues in coordination with central IT;
• Coordinate with hosting and database management teams;
• Participate in architectural reviews and operational procedure development;
• Evaluate and implement security standards and rules.

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with Windows operating system (e.g. Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019+);
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu Server);
• Experience with backup and storage technologies;
• Experience with Network administration;
• Experience with Digital Workplace remote environment solutions;
• Very good Knowledge of Oracle environment;
• Very good knowledge of User Interface (UI) Ergonomics;
• Ability to apply ITIL processes or similar;
• The following certifications are required: ITIL certification, Microsoft certifications for Windows network and system administrator and Nutanix certification;
• Excellent command of the English language.
