Technical Business Analyst (Transfer Agency)

The Technical Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, supporting the Funds Platform with a particular focus on Transfer Agency (TA) processes. The role is responsible for understanding, analyzing, and translating business needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring the continuous improvement of business analysis practices and contributing to the overall success of the platform within the funds industry.

Your role

• Collaborate with business subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the funds platform, with a particular focus on Transfer Agency (TA) processes and operations.


• Translate business needs into clear, actionable IT requirements, user stories, and test scenarios using Agile methodologies and Jira.


• Propose and evaluate solution options in coordination with solution architects, considering existing systems, software, and market innovations (including AI).


• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including specifications, process flows, and user guides.


• Lead project management activities as necessary, including stakeholder coordination, meeting facilitation, and milestone tracking.


• Conduct data analysis and support data-driven decision-making.


• Ensure the execution and delivery of IT projects in line with business requirements, timelines, and quality standards.


• Carry out functional acceptance testing, analyze production incidents, and support users during and after implementation.


• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by designing and implementing efficient workflows during system changes or migrations, focusing on innovation and optimization over replication of legacy processes


• Actively participate as a member of the Business Analyst Chapter; share knowledge, best practices, and drive the evolution of the business analysis discipline within the chapter

Your profile

• Min 5 years experience in a bank as Business Analyst 


• Fluent in French and English 


• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in the funds industry, with a strong focus on transfer agency processes.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to facilitate meetings and workshops.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment


• Project management experience, including organizing and leading cross-functional meetings.


• Fluent in English, French is an asset


• In-depth knowledge of transfer agency functions, including investor servicing, transaction processing, and related regulatory requirements.


• Experience with industry platforms and tools relevant to transfer agency (e.g., Multifonds TA, Fenergo); experience with system integrations and data migrations is a plus.


• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting


• Experience working in Agile environments, with hands-on use of JIRA (and Confluence) for story management and project tracking.


• Ability to write clear, structured documentation and user stories.


• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in business analysis; experience implementing AI-driven solutions is a plus.
