Trainee Valuation in Real Estate Team

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Real Estate Valuation team at Forvis Mazars in Luxembourg. This is an exceptional opportunity for a top-tier student to gain hands-on experience in complex real estate valuation assignments across a wide range of property sectors, including commercial, residential, industrial, logistics, hospitality, and other asset classes.

As part of our team, you will work on dynamic projects involving real estate valuation analysis, financial modelling, market research and appraisal reviews mainly for audit-related engagements.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and strengthening our real estate valuation desk and audit assist valuation function.
• Contribute to real estate valuation engagements, including valuations of investment properties, development projects, real estate portfolios and valuation review assignments, applying market methodologies and industry standards.
• Perform financial modeling under income, market and cost approaches.
• Conduct real estate market research to support valuation assumptions, such as rental benchmarks, capitalization rates, discount rates and other key metrics.
• Participate in client meetings and interviews, both in-person and virtually, to gather critical information and understand the characteristics of underlying real estate assets.

Your Profile

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Corporate Finance, Management, Engineering or a related field (a Bachelor's degree with ongoing Master's studies is acceptable).
• Enrolled at or graduated from top-tier universities.
• Fluency in English is required (other languages, especially French or German, are a strong asset).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Interest in real estate markets, property investments and valuation methodologies.
• Ability to quickly grasp new tasks, understand new asset classes, markets and business situations.
• Willingness to take initiative and responsibility in a team-driven environment.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills are considered a strong asset.
• Prior exposure to real estate, valuation, investment analysis, appraisal or professional qualifications (RICS, CFA, ACCA, etc.) is considered an advantage.
