• Advise on employment matters including disciplinary actions, termination procedures, and legal compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and handbooks to ensure they are legally sound and aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Research and stay updated on changes in Malaysia's employment laws and regulations to ensure the company's policies and practices remain current and compliant.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to develop and implement best practices for employee relations and talent management, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risk.
• Represent the company in employment-related litigation, mediation, and arbitration proceedings when necessary.
• Manage and oversee employment-related litigation, including representing the company in court or administrative proceedings, and working with external counsel as needed.
• Conduct training sessions for management and HR staff on employment law compliance and best practices.

• LLB or JD degree from a recognized institution, with admission to the Malaysian Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employment law in Malaysia, preferably with exposure to corporate environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysia's Employment Act and other relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in conducting domestic inquiries, handling termination procedures, and resolving industrial relations disputes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical legal advice in a corporate context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive employment matters.
